Daily Gauntlet: a free daily basketball timing game
Daily Gauntlet is a new basketball game every day. You face five opponents in a row, and everyone in the world gets the same opponents and the same rule of the night. Choose between layups, threes and logo shots, stop the moving meter inside the green zone, and out-score your rival. Win or lose a round, you pick a perk that changes the rest of your run. It is free, needs no account and works on a computer, Chromebook, tablet or phone.
How to play
- Pick a shot: a layup is worth 2 points and has the widest green zone. A three is worth 3. A logo shot is worth 5 but the zone is tiny.
- Stop the meter: tap the Shoot button or press Space or Enter when the white line is inside the green zone. Hit the gold middle for a perfect release and bonus points.
- Beat the target: each round you need more points than the opponent. A tie goes to sudden death: one layup, and you must hit the green.
- Use two lives: lose a round and you lose a life, but you still move on. Lose both and the run is over. Lose to the boss and you get another try if you have a life left.
- Choose perks: after every round you pick one of three perks, such as wider zones, tougher defense or a second chance after a miss. Look ahead at what the next opponent needs from you.
Tonight's rule and the daily reset
Every night has one rule, for example faster meters, narrower zones or only three shots per round. The opponents, the rule and the perk offers are the same for every player, so you can compare your result with friends. A new Gauntlet starts at midnight Eastern time. You can play a practice run any time, but only your first run of the day counts for your streak and your share result.
Share your result
After your run you get a short result with one square for every round: a filled square for a win and an empty one for a loss. Copy it, or send it on X or WhatsApp, and challenge a friend to beat it.
