Crunch Time Dynasty: A 3D Basketball Dynasty Game
Crunch Time Dynasty is a free basketball game you play in your browser. You pick a city, take over a team of made-up players and try to build a dynasty that wins title after title. The first 46 minutes of every game are simulated. The last two minutes are yours: you run the offense in a 3D arena, find the open man, drive to the rim and take the last shot.
Your progress is saved on your device, so you can play one game at a time and come back to the same team tomorrow. A season is 22 games plus the playoffs, and every offseason brings player growth, contracts, a draft and free agency.
How to Play
- Pick your city: choose one of 16 cities and give your coach a name if you like. Your team starts in the middle of the pack.
- Play crunch time: each game jumps to the last two minutes. Tap a teammate to pass, tap the floor to drive, or tap the player with the ball to shoot. On a keyboard, keys 1 to 5 pass and the space bar shoots.
- Time your shot: after you tap Shoot, a meter moves up and down. Tap again while it is in the green zone. Open players and good shooters get a bigger green zone, and threes are harder than layups.
- Win games: every win earns coaching points. Home wins earn more once you upgrade your arena.
- Make the playoffs: the top 4 teams in each conference make it. Every playoff round is one game, so it is win or go home.
Building Your Dynasty
Spend coaching points on training your players or on three facilities: a training gym that helps players improve in the offseason, scouting that brings better draft prospects, and an arena that pays extra for home wins. Young players get better every year, players in their thirties slow down and older players retire. Contracts run out, so you decide who to re-sign under the $100M salary cap. Each offseason you also draft one of three prospects and can sign free agents if you have room under the cap.
Crunch Time Tips
- Look for the green ring on the floor. It means a teammate is open.
- Driving to the rim pulls a helper off his man. Pass to whoever he leaves open.
- Watch the shot clock. If it runs out, you lose the ball.
- Threes are worth more, but the green zone is smaller. A wide open layup is often the better shot.
- Lazy passes through a defender can get stolen.
